The castle of  Castelnau-Bretenoux one of the most preserved fortified castle in Europe open all year round like the Cuvier de St Martin !

 

Here you are in Prudhomat,  typical  village with a rich historical heritage (5 churches and a medieval castle)when leaving the village, to take the direction of St Martin des Bois, you will realize the huge size of the castle of Castelnau. St Martin des Bois,a peaceful hamlet of less than sixty inhabitants at less than 5 mn from
all the businesses.

 

 

From St Martin des Bois, you will get into our backyard and June our affectionate dog will be your  first contact just before we'll arrive. We will invite you to leave your car under our hangar. Once everyone will get off the car and pat the dog a last time, you'll enter into your holiday house by the traditional staircase named here "bolet".

 

The decoration is in a refined simple style which a mix of modern comfort and natural materials in line with this house transmitted through 5 generations.  With the kitchenette everything you need to prepare your meals is provided.

The first bedroom is easily accessible from the entrance, it's the cooler of the house but extremely luminous with its two large windows. It will be the perfect parental room with its contiguous shower and separated toilet. 

 

Upstairs, from the landing equipped with a toilet, two bedrooms are at your disposal. The Causse room with its 2 windows can be configured as a family suite with a 180 cm bed and two single beds or in a small dormitory with four single beds. It has its shower room in the soft colors of the Causse, a table, 4 chairs and a series of cupboards with wardrobe.

The Ségala room in dark wood tones and the slate shower room immerse you in the atmosphere of the foothills of the Massif Central. It can be also configured as a  family suite with a 180 cm bed and two single beds or in a small dormitory with four single beds for children. 4 chairs and a walnut table complete the furniture as well as a wardrobe.

The location of our house on a plot of more than 2 hectares, at the end of the plateau above the Dordogne valley and facing the Causse, will ensure you a relaxing stay.

The outdoor spaces: the courtyard, the garden, the games room and the summer kitchen will allow you to have a good time in front of the beautiful Lot countryside. The proximity of the indoor playroom and the summer kitchen will allow you to cook while young and old have fun right next to you.
